HERstory

After my employer shutdown, I found myself without a job. As a single mom of 3 kids, and no way to support them, I became even more determined to be the best version of myself that I could be for them.

Failure was not an option.

I enrolled in HACC Lancaster to gain a marketable skill, and started a new job. While attending school fulltime and working, sometimes I had no other option but to bring my kids with me to class so I wouldn't miss out on any instruction.

Still I was determined.

After graduating from HACC with high honors, I transferred to Penn State University, making Deans List and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

I made it!

That day, I walked across that stage with my head held high, as I knew my kids were proud of me!
